Fire Safety and Protection in Beltsville, MD, seeks a Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee fire alarm and sprinkler projects from award to closeout, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget compliance.

You will be the primary point of contact for customers, internal teams, and subcontractors. Responsibilities include reviewing contracts and drawings, managing procurement, permits, and closeout documentation.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3–5 years of project management experience in fire alarm and/or fire sprinkler systems
• Experience working with fire marshals and inspectors
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsabilidades

• Manage all phases of fire alarm or fire sprinkler projects, including scheduling, execution, inspections, and closeout
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders to ensure scope clarity and compliance
• Perform basic mathematical calculations for job costing, measurements, and material quantities
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
• Coordinate with design teams, field supervisors, technicians, inspectors, and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with local and state fire codes and company safety policies
• Submit and track permits, shop drawings, submittals, and inspection documentation
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment to meet project timelines
• Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety
• Identify and resolve project issues including scope changes, delays, or cost impacts
• Communicate regularly with customers regarding status and milestones
• Review and approve invoices and project expenses
• Prepare project closeout documents including as-builts, warranties, and training materials
• Support safety culture by promoting safe work practices
