Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Sandy, Utah is seeking an Associate Project Manager for Fire and Life Safety Systems to coordinate and deliver multiple projects of varying complexity in the greater Salt Lake City area. You will maintain project schedules, manage subcontractors, track resources, and ensure safety compliance while supporting billing, scope, and close-out documentation.

Responsibilities

• Document schedule-impacting events and change orders.
• Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing with accounting.
• Schedule commissioning resources and prepare commissioning docs.

An AssociateProject Manager at Siemensis responsible forthe coordination and delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects of varying complexities. For projects witha financial impactof less than $100K, the Associate Project Manager holds fiscal cost reporting responsibilities for all project facets, including project billing, job responsibility, and overall customer satisfaction.

As the Associate Project Manager, you will:

• Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
• Develop andmaintaina project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team,identifyingtime-sensitive installation requirements.
• Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
• Review plans and specifications andparticipatein project cost reviews.
• Assist the Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
• Conduct orientations for project technicians and provide comprehensive project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, and project contacts.
• Track resources and project progress.
• Document project events thatimpactthe schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
• Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
• Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing, collaborating with theAccountingteam and Operations Manager.
• Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
• Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
• Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, and report unsafe conditions and actions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
• 2 years experience in project management
• Must beabletodemonstrateknowledgein local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelorof Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
• 5+years oftechnicalexperience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
• NICETLevel II or higher certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred
