Job summary

Arora Engineers LLC in Irving, TX seeks an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to lead FLS design for diverse facilities. You will develop technical fire protection and fire alarm documents, coordinate with architecture and structures, and ensure compliance with NFPA codes.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Engineering, 10+ years' related experience, PE and CFPS preferred, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, HydraCAD, and Bluebeam. This is an on-site role with mentoring opportunities.

Qualifications

• Detailed FLS design knowledge for water-based protection and fire alarms.
• Familiar with NFPA 13/14/20/72 and code updates.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and MS Office.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software like HydraCAD or SprinkCalc.
• Ability to write reports and communicate complex design concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Fire/Life Safety staff and projects.
• Manage scope, schedule and budget, with reporting accountability.
• Coordinate with architecture and structures on FLS design.
• Prepare and review Fire Protection and Fire Alarm documents.
• Conduct site surveys, RFIs, submittals and punch lists.
