Job summary

Harvard Protection Services, LLC is seeking a Fire & Life Safety Director to provide professional customer-focused security and life safety services for the people and property we protect. The FSD will lead staff, maintain a professional demeanor, and ensure safety standards are followed across the site.

The role requires licensing, including a Fire Safety Directors license, and a minimum high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Must have Fire Safety Directors license.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.
• Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
• Prior contract security, law enforcement, fire department, or military experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff and aid customers, employees, visitors and guests.
• Maintain a visible presence in the facility and lead staff.
• Monitor the environment for suspicious and unsafe activity.
• Answer phones professionally and make clear announcements.
• Enforce facility policies and procedures within the role.
• Schedule, manage overtime, and review daily logs and incident reports.
• Train staff in fire safety and emergency response plans.
• Prepare reports on inspections, violations and safety recommendations.
• Assist in ongoing safety inspections and duties as required.
