Job summary

W&M Fire Protection Services is hiring a Fire Inspector in Hawthorne, NY. No prior fire sprinkler inspection experience is required as training is provided. The role involves inspecting life-safety systems, learning NFPA standards, and documenting findings.

What You\'ll Do

As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you\'ll work alongside experienced inspectors while learning how to inspect, test, and document fire sprinkler and life safety systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with inspections of fire sprinkler systems and related equipment
  • Learning NFPA standards and local code requirements
  • Performing basic testing procedures under supervision

  • Completing electronic inspection reports and related paperwork
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicles

Preferred Certifications
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Fire service training or certifications
  • Any trade-related certifications

Candidates without certifications are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in commercial, industrial, and residential environments
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent walking, stair climbing, and standing throughout the day
  • Travel between customer locations as required
  • Ability to work in varying weather and jobsite conditions
