Fire Inspector Technician at Securitas Technology

Responsibilities

1. Perform scheduled and routine fire inspections, including maintenance, adjustment, cleaning, and calibration of fire system equipment to ensure proper operation.
2. Reduce service and emergency calls through effective maintenance, aiming for zero callbacks.
3. Assist with startup and installation of new equipment or systems, making necessary adjustments for operational readiness.
4. Work safely and within budget constraints.
5. Build and maintain good customer relations and seek opportunities to upgrade fire systems.
6. Maintain documentation and company property according to policies; handle proprietary information securely.
7. Stay updated on industry changes and new technologies.
8. Complete required training programs.
9. Present a professional appearance and maintain a clean vehicle and work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Fire/Life Safety Systems.
• Nebraska Fire License and/or NICET I & II certifications.
• 2-5 years installing or servicing fire alarms, with knowledge of electronics, wiring, and codes.
• ESA Certified Alarm Technician and NTS Certified Service Technician preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge or certification in Fire Panel Manufacturers.
• Vocational/technical degree in electrical, security, or computer systems.
• Experience with Bosch, DMP, Edwards/EST, Honeywell, Radionics, Simplex, GE/Mirtone systems.
