Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in performing fire inspection duties.
• Associates degree from an accredited college.
• Valid California driver’s license; Fire Inspector I & CFSTES certifications within set timeframes; PC 832 certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and properties for fire protection and life-safety compliance.
• Enforce codes, laws, and ordinances related to fire and hazardous materials.
• Provide technical support to a supervisor and work mainly in the community setting.
• Communicate with residents and businesses to address safety needs and queries.
• Address overtime needs as required, including nights and weekends.
