Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Hand Portable Assembler for the 2nd shift (1:30–9:30 pm, Mon–Fri with OT) in Wisconsin. You will read blueprints to assemble, fill, and test hand portable extinguishers, and prepare them for QA and shipment.

Responsibilities include operating semi-automatic filling equipment, weighing units to UL specs, and labeling and packaging. Safety and quality are emphasized; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret production orders and blueprints.
• Basic math and computer operations knowledge.
• Commitment to safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble extinguishers from blueprints and assembly specs.
• Operate filling machines and verify weights per UL specs.
• Inspect components for defects and maintain logs.
• Package and label finished products for shipment.
