Job summary

The University of Florida in Santa Rosa seeks a Biological Scientist II to work with the Principal Investigator, designing experiments and analyzing data using ArcPly, ArcMap, R and Google Earth Engine to support fire ecology research. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field with 3 years of experience.
Master’s degree in biology with 1 year of relevant experience.
Valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

Data Collation and Research Visualization: establish objectives and develop protocols; use software to support fire ecology research.
Statistical Analysis: determine data methods; conduct analyses and maintain records.
Scientific Manuscript and Report Writing: contribute to literature review and assist manuscript writing.
Workshop and Conference Organization: assist in developing sessions for conferences.
Project Management and Personnel Support: coordinate activities and staff; ensure deadlines.
Perform other duties as assigned; work independently with regular PI communication.
