Job Overview

Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventive maintenance on electrical, sprinkler, and suppression life‑safety product lines, including comparable product lines from other manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems for existing and new customers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed using company tools.
• Adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Follow verbal and written instructions in a professional manner.
• Transport and lift equipment and tools that may weigh up to 70 lbs.
• Work in difficult or unusual positions, including climbing ladders, using scaffolding, and operating high‑lift equipment.
• Be available for alternative shifts and weekends as required by customer needs.
• Perform all duties safely and maintain a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year installation or service experience in testing and inspecting fire alarm equipment.
• Self‑starter who can work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and quick learning ability.
• Physical fitness to perform labor requiring strength and endurance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to work well with others in a team environment.
• Obtain NICET I certification within one year of employment.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook) and smartphone proficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly range: $18.22 – $25.09 (adjusted for experience, education, skills, and market data).
