The Air Force is seeking a Fire Chief to lead the Fire and Emergency Services Flight on a U.S. base in Massachusetts. The role involves executive oversight of fire protection and prevention programs, directing response to emergencies, and coordinating with municipal and federal fire departments.

Responsibilities include supervisory duties, budget planning for equipment and training, and building effective cross-agency relationships to ensure readiness and safety at the installation.

The primary purpose of this position, FIRE CHIEF, GS-0081-13, is to serve as the Fire Chief, responsible for the overall management and supervision of the fire protection and fire prevention program for the base.

Key Responsibilities
