The Town of Maiden seeks a Fire Captain to supervise firefighting personnel on an assigned shift, coordinate emergency response, and act as incident commander when leaders are unavailable.

This is the first line supervisory role in the fire department. The Fire Captain manages fire station operations, oversees personnel and equipment, acts as incident commander in the absence of the Fire Chief or Deputy Fire Chief during emergencies, and ensures compliance with departmental standards and policies. The role demands leadership, tactical decision-making, and the ability to train and evaluate staff. Work is conducted under the general supervision of the Deputy Fire Chief and reviewed through performance metrics and operational outcomes.
