Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Knowledge of basic inspection tools, machining skills or related fields.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Able to read and work from blueprints/spec book.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Able to read and work from blueprints/spec book.

Responsibilities

• Install doors, hose beds, and other various parts to complete the fire apparatus.
• Reads and understands specs and blueprints to build fire apparatus.
• Utilizes a variety of basic hand tools along with some welding to complete the installation of final parts to the fire apparatus
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.
