Job summary

V2X Inc. is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Technician to diagnose and repair firefighting apparatus and emergency vehicles. You will perform inspections, maintenance, and diagnostics on fire engines, tenders, tankers, and related equipment.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience with fire trucks or heavy transport vehicles, EVT/F1–F8 and NFPA 1071 qualifications, CDL, and a valid Real ID. You will work 1st shift with on-call duties and lead a team of EVT technicians.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • EVT Certification F1 - F8 (current).
  • Must obtain EVT LV I–II and NFPA 1071 qualifications.
  • Must obtain ASE T1–T7.
  • CDL required.
  • Real ID driver’s license valid.
  • Must obtain/maintain NACI Tier 1 Public Trust and CAC.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Fort Benning driving privileges must be maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues on firefighting apparatus.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.
  • Order fleet parts as needed and maintain maintenance records.
  • Keep tools and work area organized and safe.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call fleet maintenance support for assigned shift.
  • Lead and mentor EVT personnel; train team members.
