Job summary

Koorsen Fire and Security in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an experienced Corporate Trainer - Fire Alarm to join our team at the corporate training center. You will lead training sessions on-site and share your expertise in fire alarm systems.

You will research codes (NFPA, IFC, OSHA), maintain training materials, and travel roughly 25% to support across the footprint. Strong communication and NICET I certification are required.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in Fire Alarm.
• NICET I certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications.
• Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass drug and background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Work out of the Corporate Training Center, conducting training sessions both at the Training Center and across the KFS footprint.
• Assume the role of Subject Matter Expert for KFS in fire alarm systems.
• Research and maintain a working knowledge of relevant codes (e.g., NFPA, IFC, OSHA) appropriate for the area of expertise.
• Monitor all relevant training materials for accuracy to codes, technology, and processes, and make changes to materials to ensure accuracy.
• Follow and role-model all policies, procedures, safety rules, and good driving habits.
• Be organized and able to exercise effective time management skills to prioritize workload.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.
• Ability to present to small and large audiences in a professional and effective manner.
• Open-minded to continued learning.
• Role does require some travel (approximately 25%).
