Job summary

S.A. Comunale is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician Trainee to develop skills toward becoming an Alarm Technician. The program spans three years and requires travel, with progression toward Ohio Fire Alarm licensure and NICET I certification.

Primary duties include hands-on training with alarm systems, documentation of service calls, and customer communication while preparing for licensure and advanced certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.
• Strong background in electronics or similar experience required.
• Strong technical skills and willingness to learn new systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Able to lift equipment and tools up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Train with Alarm Technicians on basic installations.
• Learn installation, troubleshooting, and programming of fire alarm systems.
• Attend NFPA 72 basics and NICET level 1 classes in the future.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and program Fire Alarm, Access Control, Nurse Call, and IP Video Systems.
• Provide detailed feedback to management and coordinate with customers.
