Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Fire Alarm Support Technician Test & Inspect to assist licensed technicians with inspections, testing, and documentation of fire alarm systems. You will support device activation, alarm verification, and system checks under supervision in various commercial environments.

The role involves learning fire alarm codes and testing procedures, maintaining records, and traveling to job sites as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior fire alarm or industry experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn inspection and testing procedures in the fire protection industry.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under direct supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and safety.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving role).

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with scheduled inspections and testing of fire alarm systems.
• Support testing activities such as device activation, alarm verification, and system checks under supervision.
• Help document inspection and testing results in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Identify and report visible deficiencies or irregularities to supervising technicians.
• Assist with preparation of tools, materials, and documentation required for inspections.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling of inspection forms and reports.

Education
