Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Fire Alarm Service Technician to service and program fire alarm systems, joining a culture that values growth and teamwork.

You will test, troubleshoot and commission life-safety systems, read blueprints, and ensure compliance with codes. A NICET II certification and an associate degree in electronics are preferred, with travel to local jobsites expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience: 3-5 years as a fire alarm service technician with EST 3/4 (Edwards) experience or similar.
• Preferred Experience: 2 years in commercial/industrial/low voltage/electrical work.
• NICET II Certification in Fire Alarm.
• Associates degree in Electronic technology or Instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Test, program and commission fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Service and maintain fire alarm systems for customers.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, submittals and manuals to implement installations.
• Comply with local and national codes and safety policies.
• Represent Convergint professionally with customers and on-site teams.
• Collaborate to improve operations at the Technology Center.
