Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; previous fire alarm or electronic systems experience preferred; understanding of NFPA standards and life safety codes.
• Proficient in basic electronic theory and digital multimeter use; able to read blueprints, schematics, and datasheets.
• Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of fire alarm or electronic systems preferred; intermediate MS Office and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• SERVICE & INSTALL: Assemble control panels and build system programs; install low voltage cabling and electronic system components; troubleshoot to component level; inspect and test fire alarm systems.
• KEEP TO CODE: Ensure projects comply with codes/regulations; complete documentation accurately and timely.
• PUT SAFETY FIRST: Follow OSHA and safety protocols on site; use safety best practices when handling materials and moving heavy items.
• COMMUNICATE: Provide timely information to clients; report status of work orders to supervisors and office staff.
• COLLABORATE: Coordinate with project foreman and other trades; maintain positive relationships between field and office teams.
