Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician 3 to supervise and execute FA system upgrades, advanced trouble-shooting, and programming. The role requires extensive experience with fire alarm systems, complex programming, and site leadership for upgrades and new installations.

The position emphasizes safety, code compliance, and the ability to lead on-site teams while coordinating with engineering and project management. A strong technical background and NICET certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 8 years in Fire Alarm
• 2-year technology degree with 6 years in Fire Alarm
• NICET II in Fire Alarm Systems or pass NICET II within 90 days; NICET III preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform high level troubleshooting of fire alarm systems
• Perform complex programming of FA systems
• Site surveys for FA upgrades and new installations to meet Code
• Lead installation projects and supervise on-site crew
• Create submittal packages for permits and as-built drawings
• Ensure safety and pass background/drug screening requirements
