Job summary

Apic Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, test, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional sites.

You will ensure all work complies with NFPA 72, NEC, IBC, and AHJ requirements while delivering high-quality service. Responsibilities include coordinating with electricians and project managers, performing acceptance tests, documenting results, and following strict safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in fire alarm installation, service, or inspection.
• Experience with major fire alarm systems (Notifier, EST, Fire-Lite, Silent Knight, Siemens, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit, wire, fire alarm panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, and related hardware.
• Program and configure fire alarm systems based on engineered drawings and requirements.
• Coordinate with electricians, general contractors, and project managers to ensure timely completion of installations.
• Diagnose and repair faults in existing systems; replace defective components and update programming.
• Perform functional and acceptance testing; conduct NFPA 72 inspections; complete reports and documentation.
