Custom Alarm is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to install, test and service life-safety systems in Southeast Minnesota. You will follow project guidelines, communicate with customers, and support a range of fire alarm equipment.

The role requires licensing and NICET credentials, a strong customer-service mindset, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years relatable experience in fire alarm or low-voltage systems.
• Ability to read diagrams and install, test, and repair electronic equipment.
• Maintain certifications and licenses as required by Custom Alarm.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and inspect fire alarm systems to meet code; provide customer training.
• Assist customers with technical questions on system operation.
• Promote system upgrades and enhancements.
• Complete all installation documentation, diagrams, and timecards accurately and promptly.
• Maintain assigned tools, inventory, and any company vehicle in good condition.
• Participate in the rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours service.
• Follow all safety regulations and recommend improvements as needed.
• Attend required training and maintain all necessary certifications and licenses.
• Support service and installation teams as needed.
