Job summary

Sobieski Life Safety of Newark, DE is hiring a Fire Alarm Technician for a full-time role. The position involves installing and servicing commercial fire alarm systems, performing acceptance tests on new installations, and participating in on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting low voltage systems.
• Experience programming low voltage systems.
• Ability to install fire alarm systems and complete necessary programming.
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 72, electrical codes, OSHA requirements and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and crawl ladders; valid driver’s license; pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install and service fire alarm systems in commercial buildings.
• Perform acceptance tests for new or retrofitted systems.
• Install control panels, modules, conduits, wires and intrusion switches.
• Respond to emergencies during regular hours and on-call shifts.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and reports; build rapport with clients.
