Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician at our Norcross, GA location to support installations, programming, start-up and commissioning of modern fire alarm systems for our Smart Buildings customers in the greater Atlanta area.

You will assist with commissioning, testing and inspection of fire alarm equipment, work with mentors and leads to meet project timelines, log time and expenses, and be prepared for overtime as needed. NICET Level 1 must be obtained within 18 months.

Qualifications

Electro-mechanical experience and PC/software skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment up to 75 pounds unassisted
Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 18 months
Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license and eligible for Siemens fleet vehicle program
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

Assist with commissioning of new fire alarm systems on construction ensuring seamless integration
Assist with testing and inspecting of existing fire alarm systems
Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader
Complete commissioning within planned timelines
Submit accurate time and expense logs
Work overtime when needed
