CampusPoint is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to support commercial projects across the Pacific Northwest. The role involves troubleshooting, installing, testing, and commissioning fire alarm systems, including IP-based networks and radio/dialer integrations.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in fire/life-safety systems, active WA/OR low-voltage licenses (LEA/EL06), strong PC/software skills, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Active low-voltage license(s) in Oregon and Washington.
  • LEA or EL06 license is required.
  • 5+ years of experience with fire alarm or low-voltage life-safety systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency using a PC and relevant technical software.
  • Experience with IP network-based systems and dialers.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze information and develop practical solutions.
  • Able to work under pressure with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and repairing fire alarm and low-voltage life safety systems.
  • Installing, programming, testing, inspecting, and upgrading fire alarm systems.
  • Commissioning and certifying newly installed systems.
  • Working with both new construction and existing commercial buildings.
  • Diagnosing technical issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Installing and connecting radio and cellular dialers.
  • Working with IP network-based systems and related technology.
  • Using a PC and applicable software to program, configure, and maintain systems.
  • Communicating professionally with customers and providing excellent service.
  • Maintaining accurate work and adhering to established safety, quality, and accuracy standards.
  • Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Adapting to changing priorities and performing a variety of duties as business needs evolve.

Our client is a well-established and growing fire protection contractor serving businesses and communities throughout the Pacific Northwest. With a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and technical expertise, the company provides comprehensive fire sprinkler solutions from initial planning through final project completion.

Compensation: $40-$50/hr DOE

Availability: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Job Duties:
  • Troubleshooting and repairing fire alarm and low-voltage life safety systems

  • Previous experience (5+ years) working with fire alarm and/or low-voltage life safety systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency using a PC and relevant technical software
  • Experience working with IP network-based systems
  • Ability to install and connect radio and cellular dialers
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to evaluate information, analyze problems logically, and develop practical solutions
  • Comfortable making sound decisions and exercising independent judgment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within precise standards of accuracy
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and complete clear, legible documentation
  • The ability to install and connect radio and cellular dialers.
