Empire Electric Maintenance is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Expert – Lead Life Safety Installations for commercial, multi-family residential and retail projects on Long Island.

You will install and program fire alarm control panels and field devices, perform testing and commissioning for code compliance, and diagnose faults across diverse system types.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on fire alarm installation experience.
• Proficiency with power tools, diagnostic equipment, and multi-meters.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving history.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and local fire codes.

Responsibilities

• Project Scope: Residential & Commercial Fire Alarm
• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

You will serve as a technical expert in life-safety systems, ensuring the seamless installation and maintenance of critical fire alarm infrastructure. Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• NICET Level I or II certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
• Experience with specialized commercial control systems and government-sector projects.
• Completion of a formal electrical or fire alarm apprenticeship program.
• New York State Fire Alarm installer license is a plus
