Job summary

Pavion Corp is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our security business unit. The role focuses on installation, service and testing of fire alarm and burglar systems across on-site projects, ensuring documentation and training for customers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, NFPA codes knowledge, and programming ability; Nevada "F" card if applicable. We offer competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Fire Alarm Technician to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsivities:

• Installation, Service and Testing of Fire Alarm and Burglar Alarm Systems.
• Provide customers with required equipment documentation and Training.
• If applicable, install and upgrade all new systems as required by the manufacturer.
• Complete Installation of Systems in an efficient and profitable manner.
• Have or obtain the State of Nevada required "F" card certification.
• Ability to read and follow floor plans for installation and testing tasks.
• Proficient with documentation required for maintaining system testing records, communicating internally, and other related communication needs.
• Supervising various electrical subcontractors as they install fire alarm cable and equipment per our project scope.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years experience with fire alarm service
• Customer service experience
• Knowledge of NFPA- National Fire Alarm Codes
• Knowledge of NFPA 101- Life Safety Code
• Familiar with Inspection procedures.
• Technicians are to perform their duties in a safe and professional manner
• Notifier, DMP, Bosch, Fire-Lite and Honeywell overall knowledge preferred
• Must be available for on-call and willing to work overtime as needed.
• Knowledge of programming fire alarm systems.
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification in construction.

Preferred Qualifications:

• NICET II Certification
• Alarm System Notifier experience including troubleshooting and programming

The hourly pay range for this position is $35.00-$45.00 per hour. The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
