Job summary

Impact Fire Services in Massachusetts seeks a licensed fire protection technician to service, install, and maintain alarm systems. You will read blueprints, coordinate with fire departments, and ensure NFPA compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license required and Massachusetts Class D license.
• 3–5 years related fire alarm experience or equivalent.
• NICET or manufacturer training.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals and specs.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and Word; familiarity with mobile apps.
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed; strong work ethic and teamwork.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and ability to interpret technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems per federal/state/local requirements.
• Read data sheets, system manuals, and blueprints as required.
• Coordinate installations with fire departments and manage notification records.
• Maintain a stocked company vehicle and minimize return trips.
• Meet daily/weekly service and productivity goals; mentor others.
• Perform administrative duties including service acknowledgements and NFPA documentation.
• Maintain readiness for duties and adherence to safety protocols.

Position is located out of our Southborough District Office.

$3,000 Sign-On-Bonus based on experience!!!

Responsibilities include

• Service, install, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot on a variety of fire alarm systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Read fire alarm data sheets, system manuals, blueprints as required.
• Coordinate installations with fire departments and handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls.
• Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean up installation debris.
• Meet daily/weekly service and productivity goals.
• Serve as a mentor and share knowledge/experience with others.
• Perform administrative duties including completing service acknowledgements, NFPA Record of completion documents and other supporting documentation.
• Maintain a fully stocked company vehicle in order to provide the best customer service with as few return trips as necessary.

Qualifications include

• Journeyman Electrician or Massachusetts Class D Electrical License required
• Minimum 3-5 years related fire alarm experience either in the fire protection industry or the commercial customer service business.
• NICET or equivalent training from manufacturers or institutions.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 72.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals.
• Proficiency with using PCs including working knowledge of MS Excel / Word as well as iPhone/iPad apps.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements. as needed.
• A strong work ethic and professional appearance.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Successful completion of a drug test and pre‑employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
