Job summary

Century Fire Protection Clearwater is seeking a full-time technician to install, program, and test fire alarm systems per project drawings. You will read electrical drawings, verify parts, install panels, devices, and wiring, and perform final acceptance testing with the AHJ.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED with 1-3 years of related experience; EST certification is preferred. Excellent benefits and opportunities for training are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• EST Certification is preferred; low voltage installation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fire alarm and electrical drawings and specifications.
• Review drawings and verify parts for job are accurate.
• Install and program fire alarm control panels and other equipment.
• Mount devices, install conduit (if applicable) and wiring to connect system components per design drawings and applicable building codes and standards.
• Perform all tasks associated with fire alarm installation, such as drilling holes for cabling and accessing locations such as crawlspaces or attics to ensure optimal wiring layouts.
• Identify and repair any troubles and test all devices and components to ensure proper operation.
• Perform final acceptance testing with the AHJ.
• Produce reports and other documentation to certify the installation of the system.
