Job summary

Manatal is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Systems Designer to join our Denver team. You will design wet/dry/clean agent fire suppression systems for complex facilities and produce 2D drawings and 3D models in AutoCAD.

You will ensure NFPA 13, NFPA 12, NFPA 2001 compliance and coordinate with architects, engineers and field teams. The role is on-site in Denver, with full-time hours and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in fire suppression system design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and 3D modeling (2+ years required).
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 12, NFPA 2001, and related codes.
• Experience designing for commercial buildings is necessary.
• Familiarity with hydraulic calculation software (HydraCALC, SprinkCALC, or similar).
• Knowledge of clean agent suppression systems (FM-200, Novec 1230, CO2) and pre‑action systems a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Suppression System Designer to join our growing team. Responsibilities:

• Design wet, dry, pre‑action, and clean agent fire suppression systems for complex commercial and mission‑critical facilities
• Produce accurate 2D construction drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, including layout plans, isometrics, riser diagrams, and hydraulic calculation documentation
• Ensure all designs comply with NFPA 13, NFPA 12, NFPA 2001, and applicable local codes and standards
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, field installers, and other trades to ensure designs are buildable and meet client specifications
• Coordinate with architects and mechanical/electrical teams during design development
• Prepare submittal packages, as‑built drawings, and design documentation for AHJ review and approval
• Communicate design intent clearly to clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders
• Stay current on code updates, new suppression technologies, and industry best practices
