Ahern, a family‑owned mechanical and fire protection contractor with a long history, seeks a Fire Systems Technician – Service in Stevens Point, WI, and surrounding areas. You will inspect, service, and commission fire alarm and suppression systems under a Superintendent, delivering reliable service and safety.

Entry‑level candidates are welcome; NICET Level I/II preferred, VESDA certification is a plus. Will travel occasionally; strong customer service and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
• NICET Certification Level I and/or II preferred.
• VESDA Certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Commitment to maintaining cutting-edge industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and commission existing fire alarm and special hazards fire suppression systems.
• Work under supervision of a Superintendent to ensure safety, design, budget, and schedule compliance.
• Provide top-notch customer service and clear communication with clients.
