Job summary

HCI Systems Inc. is seeking skilled Fire Alarm, Low Voltage, and Security Designers to design and generate shop drawings for a wide range of projects. You will prepare technical submittals, RFIs, and closeout documents, while coordinating with project teams to ensure compliant designs.

The role requires AutoCAD expertise and experience with access control, CCTV, and life-safety systems, along with strong communication and organizational skills. On-site work with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience designing low voltage and security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated with excellent follow up and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft low voltage and security system shop drawings, including Fire alarm and life safety systems, Access control systems, Video surveillance (CCTV/VMS), Intrusion detection systems, Structured cabling and other related low voltage systems.
• Prepare and manage technical submittals, product cut sheets, calculations, RFIs, and closeout documentation.
• Coordinate designs with AHJs and building owners to ensure complete and compliant system designs.
• Apply company standards and National CAD Standards to all shop drawings.
• Perform take-offs on plans for devices, cabling, and equipment.
