Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Lithia Springs, GA, is seeking a Fire Alarm Project Manager for data center projects. You will oversee the fire alarm scope from planning through turnover, coordinate with teams and authorities, and ensure NFPA compliance and safety standards.

Travel to sites is required; strong knowledge of low-voltage systems and experience with submittals, procurement, installation, and testing is essential. NICET or OSHA certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in fire alarm project management on mission critical electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems including Fire Alarm, DAS, Access Control, and Building Management Systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical schematics and NFPA references.
• Experience coordinating with inspectors and authorities having jurisdiction.

Fire Alarm Project Manager - Data Center

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fire alarm scope across multiple mission-critical projects, including planning, submittals, procurement, installation, testing, and turnover. Ensures compliance with applicable codes, project schedules, and safety standards as primary point of contact for all fire alarm-related executions.

Job Summary

• Planning, execution, and management of fire alarm system installations for mission critical projects across the U.S.
• Coordinates with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and authorities to ensure compliance with design specifications, code requirements, and schedule expectations
• Manages the fire alarm scope from preconstruction through final commissioning
• Interfaces regularly with the Project Management Team to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with project goals
• Ensures all work is performed in accordance with NFPA standards, local AHJ requirements, and IES Safety policies
• Position requires travel to project sites and extended time working in the field

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience fire alarm project management on mission critical electrical projects
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems including Fire Alarm, DAS, Access Control, and Building Management Systems
• Demonstrated ability to manage all phases of fire alarm installation including submittals, material procurement, installation oversight, coordination with testing agencies, and final turnover
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical schematics, and code references including NFPA 70, NFPA 72, and NFPA 101
• Experience coordinating with local inspectors and Authorities having jurisdiction
• Proficient in construction documentation and scheduling tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or equivalent
• NICET Level II certification or higher preferred
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities
• Ability to travel as required
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
