Job summary

Northstar Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm Project Manager to oversee all aspects of fire alarm systems, air sampling, BDA, and related auxiliary systems. The ideal candidate will manage subcontractors, coordinate with clients, and drive project milestones in a fast-paced environment.

8–10 years in large-scale fire alarm projects, NICET II preferred, OSHA 30 required, and experience with VESDA/BDA systems are highly valued. Willingness to work extended hours and weekends is required.

Qualifications

  • NICET II certification preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Experience with large-scale, hi-tech fire alarm projects (8–10 years) preferred.
  • Experience in design and layout preferred.
  • Estimating and job costing experience preferred.
  • Experience with VESDA and BDA systems preferred.
  • Experience working with general contractors.
  • Experience building teams and assessing technician ability.
  • Strong attendance and willingness to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of Fire Alarm, Air Sampling equipment, BDA, and auxiliary system connections, plus subcontractor management.
  • Communicate project status with customers and internal teams.
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet schedules and milestones.
  • Assist with design, bill of materials, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with field Superintendents and other Project Managers to meet project needs and progress.
  • Order materials and equipment for projects.
  • Assist in estimating, change orders, and project durations as requested.
  • Fulfill client documentation requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required.

We are a nationally recognized fire protection company that engineers, fabricates, and installs fire sprinkler systems and alarms for structures including commercial buildings, government buildings, healthcare facilities, high-rise condominiums, and mixed-use projects.

Job Summary

Northstar Fire Protection is looking for a Fire Alarm Project Manager. In this role you would be responsible for managing all aspects of the work assigned to include Fire Alarm, Air Sampling equipment, BDA, auxiliary system connections as well as subcontractor management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the work assigned to them to include but not limited to Fire Alarm, Air Sampling equipment, BDA, auxiliary system connections as well as subcontractor management.
  • Responsible for all communication regarding the project status with both customer base as well as the internal communications.
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet the required schedule work in progress meetings and milestones.
  • Assist with design, bill of materials, and scheduling.
  • Work with field Superintendents and other Project Managers for project needs and progress.
  • Order materials and equipment needed for projects.
  • Assist in estimating, change orders, and project durations as requested.
  • Fulfill client documentation requirements.
  • Other duties as required.
