Job summary

3Search is seeking an Experienced EST Fire Alarm Programmer / Installer in the Greater Austin area to install, program, test, and commission EST/Edwards fire alarm systems on commercial and industrial projects. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure compliance with NFPA standards, delivering projects with a cross-functional team.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years with EST/Edwards systems, hands-on EST3/EST4 experience, and a track record of working in demanding

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with EST/Edwards fire alarm systems.
• Hands-on programming experience with EST3 and/or EST4.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Experience in commercial or industrial environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work on ladders and lifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and customers to deliver projects successfully.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and as-built drawings.
• Provide technical guidance and support to customers and junior installers when required.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

Required:
