Symons Fire Protection, Inc. is seeking a dependable Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Technician in San Diego, CA.

You will install, service, test, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm and low-voltage systems, working closely with project managers and customers to ensure safety and code compliance. The role requires following drawings, specifications, and manufacturer requirements, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and professional conduct on job sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience installing, servicing, testing, or troubleshooting fire alarm systems is preferred.
• Experience with low-voltage electrical systems, security systems, or related field is preferred.
• Experience using a digital multimeter and electrical testing equipment is preferred.
• Experience installing and terminating low-voltage wiring is preferred.
• Experience installing or working with conduit is preferred.
• OSHA-10 training within first 3 months of employment.
• CPR and First Aid training within first 3 months of employment.
• Industry certifications and manufacturer-specific training are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain fire alarm control panels, devices, and related equipment.
• Inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems and components.
• Diagnose and repair faults in fire alarm and related low-voltage systems.
• Assist with programming changes and system configuration.
• Maintain reliable attendance and professional conduct on site.
