Job summary

Control Systems, Inc. is seeking skilled Fire Alarm Installers, Technicians and Foreman to join our team in Florida. The role involves installation, commissioning and programming of low voltage life-safety systems in large commercial buildings.

Foreman will lead CSI installers on site, coordinate with the Project Manager, and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget while communicating with code officials and building owners.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.
• Excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Installation of fire life safety and other low voltage systems in medium and large commercial buildings.
• Foreman will lay out and direct CSI installers on site and coordinate with the Project Manager to complete the project on time and on budget.
• Program or have experience with programming low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV.
• Execute the installation project plan including equipment delivery, troubleshooting, commissioning and interface with other trades.
• Resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives.
• Foreman and Technicians meet with code officials to arrange permits and discuss wiring methods.
• Foreman and Technicians coordinate project activities with other trades to optimize installation time.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and manuals.
• Identify out of scope requests and notify management of pending changes.
• Assist customers on site with questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Effectively communicate project status to management.
