Job summary

Impact Fire Services, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Lead Technician to join our Tulsa office, supporting service, installation, and maintenance for commercial clients. The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, relevant licensing, and strong knowledge of NFPA 72, blueprints, and coordination with fire departments.

Travel and weekend work may be required to meet customer needs. Expect to mentor teammates and contribute to documentation and service reports.

Qualifications

• Licensing and certification as required by National, State and Local codes.
• 3–5 years of related experience in fire protection or commercial service.
• NICET or equivalent training from manufacturers or institutions.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 72.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications and manuals.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Proficiency with PCs including MS Excel/Word and mobile apps.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight lodging.
• Strong customer service and professional appearance.
• Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot on fire alarm systems per codes.
• Read fire alarm data sheets, system manuals, and blueprints as required.
• Coordinate installations with fire departments and file necessary records.
• Mentor others and share knowledge/experience.
• Complete service acknowledgements, NFPA documentation, and other reports.
• Maintain a fully stocked company vehicle to optimize service and reduce trips.

Job Responsibilities

• Service, install, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot on a variety of fire alarm systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Read fire alarm data sheets, system manuals, blueprints as required.
• Coordinate installations with fire departments and handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls.
• Serve as a mentor and share knowledge/experience with others.
• Perform administrative duties including completing service acknowledgements, NFPA Record of completion documents and other supporting documentation.
• Maintain a fully stocked company vehicle in order to provide the best customer service with as few return trips as necessary.

Job Qualifications

• Possess any necessary licensing and certification required by National, State and Local codes.
• Minimum 3-5 years' related experience either in the fire protection industry or the commercial customer service business.
• NICET or equivalent training from manufacturers or institutions.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 72.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Proficiency with using PCs including working knowledge of MS Excel / Word as well as iPhone/iPad apps.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
• Willingness to travel out of town including overnight lodging.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
• A strong work ethic and professional appearance.
• Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision.
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
• Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
