Job summary

1st FP Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician to install commercial fire alarm and life safety systems on new construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, can work independently, and coordinates with project managers and other trades.

Responsibilities include installation, inspection, documentation, compliance with NFPA codes, and providing clear communications to clients.

Qualifications

• Texas Fire Alarm (FAL) license or willingness to obtain within agreed time.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire protection system installation, inspection, and/or maintenance.
• Programming experience (EST preferred).
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and local regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks for government projects.
• Strong Core Values (Work-ethic, Responsibility, Integrity, etc).

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service, and maintain fire alarm/life safety systems.
• Complete accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and industry regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with team members and project managers on job site planning and execution.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, codes, and licensing requirements.
