Job summary

Chesapeake Fire Protection in Odenton, MD is hiring a Fire Alarm Installer. You will install fire alarm devices, panels, wiring, and conduit, and test systems to ensure proper operation at commercial, industrial, and residential sites.

Role requires 1–3 years of experience in fire alarm installation or low-voltage electrical work, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. HVAC, construction sites, and lifting up to 50 lbs are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years fire alarm installation or low-voltage electrical experience preferred.
• NICET or other fire alarm certifications preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install fire alarm devices, control panels, wiring, and conduit according to project drawings and specifications.
• Test and inspect newly installed systems to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoot and correct installation issues under supervision.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NFPA 70 (NEC), local codes, and project requirements.
• Document installations, system changes, and testing results.
• Coordinate with other trades and project personnel.
