Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking an experienced technician to independently install fire alarm systems across various sites in the Las Vegas area. You will interpret blueprints and ensure compliance with safety codes and company policies, while coordinating with team members and stakeholders.

The role requires 3+ years in fire and life safety, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel to multiple job sites. NICET level is preferred but not mandatory for all applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Ability to work independently on standard installation jobs.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, installation practices, and codes.
• NICET Level I or higher is preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Independently install fire alarm systems per plans, specs, and codes.
• Complete standard installation projects without direct supervision.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with team members, contractors, and stakeholders as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
