Job summary

LVC Companies, Inc. is seeking a Fire Alarm Installation Technician in Golden Valley, MN to install, program, and commission commercial fire alarm systems. You will work with Notifier and Siemens products, adhere to NFPA codes, and coordinate with project teams on schedules.

Must be eligible to join IBEW 110 or IBEW 292 and have relevant PLT/NICET certifications. A competitive benefits package accompanies this role.

Qualifications

• Minnesota Power Limited Technician (PLT) license required.
• NICET certification preferred.
• Manufacturer certifications beneficial.
• Experience with Notifier and/or Siemens fire alarm product lines.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission new commercial fire alarm installations.
• Read, understand, and follow industry and project specifications and drawings.
• Meet installation deadlines and optimize manpower usage.
• Maintain compliance with Local Fire Code, NFPA 72, NFPA 70 and related codes.
• Effectively communicate with customers and project teams.
• Accurately complete paperwork and timesheets.
• Adhere to safety programs for self and team.

About You:

We are looking for a Fire Alarm Installation Technician who would be responsible for the installation, programming, and commissioning of new commercial installations. Upon starting with LVC Companies, you will be required to be a member of the IBEW 110 or IBEW 292.

Compensation/Benefits:

Essential Functions:

• Must have knowledge of fire alarm systems
• Wire and install hardware used in fire alarm systems
• Read, understand, and follow industry and project specifications and drawings
• Meet all installation deadlines and demonstrate efficient use of manpower
• Strong understanding of Local Fire Code, NFPA 72, NEW 70 and other applicable codes
• Ability to successfully communicate with customers and project team members
• Correctly complete and maintain all paperwork
• Responsible for accurate tracking on daily entered electronic timesheets
• Full compliance with company's and customers' safety programs
