Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Woodbury, New Jersey, is seeking an entry-level Fire Alarm Install Support Technician to assist with installing fire alarm systems under supervision. You will learn industry practices, use basic tools, and support senior technicians on site.

No prior experience is required; a high school diploma suffices. The role involves travel to job sites, adherence to safety policies, and opportunities for training and career development with competitive pay and benefits.

The Fire Alarm Install Support Technician is responsible for assisting with the installation of fire alarm systems under direct supervision. The technician will support senior team members in completing installation tasks while learning basic industry practices, tools, and safety procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of fire alarm systems under direct supervision.
• Support senior technicians with daily job site tasks.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Transport materials and equipment to job sites as needed.
• Learn and follow installation standards and code requirements.
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete assigned tasks.
• Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Adhere to instructions and guidance from supervisors at all times.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience necessary.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under direct supervision.
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Other Duties

• Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.

Pay Rate

$20 to $25 hourly based on experience.
