Job summary

Metro Fire + Security is hiring a Fire Alarm Install Technician to install and service fire alarm systems and panels across sites. You will work from plans, program controls, and connect wiring while ensuring safety codes and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 100 lbs. On-call, nights, and weekends may be needed. Training on inspections and maintenance is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and US work authorization.
• Able to work flexible hours including on-call, nights, and weekends.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Install alarm panels and devices per blueprints and building plans.
• Program control panels and devices for fire alarm systems.
• Run and terminate wiring through walls and ceilings.
• Install wiring to connect components while following safety standards.
• Demonstrate systems to customers and explain alarm causes.
• Educate customers on preventative maintenance and safety practices.
• Communicate project status with supervisor and dispatchers.
• Perform inspections and testing on fire alarm, sprinkler, and related systems.
