Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Belton, TX is seeking a Fire Alarm Install Technician to independently install fire alarm systems per plans and codes, and to travel to job sites as required. You will interpret blueprints, test systems, troubleshoot, and maintain documentation while upholding safety standards.

A high school diploma and 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry are required; NICET Level I+ is preferred, and a clean driving record with a valid license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Ability to work independently on standard installation jobs.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Clean driving record and active driver's license if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently install fire alarm systems in accordance with plans, specifications and codes.
• Complete standard installation projects without direct supervision.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
• Perform system testing and basic troubleshooting.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete installations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Coordinate with team members, contractors and project stakeholders as needed.
