Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
• Completing Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptops or hard copies.
• Following and maintaining a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Inputting, retrieving, and archiving inspection documents via laptop.
• Making minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
• Providing technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees.
• Completing assigned inspections on time.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• 2-5 years of documented service experience in fire alarm or fire sprinkler systems.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multi-meters.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing systems.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Physical ability to carry and move equipment up to 50-70 lbs.
• Willingness to work in challenging positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and working at heights up to 40 feet.
• Flexibility to work weekends and varied hours to meet customer needs.
