Job summary

Impact Fire Services, LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a disciplined Fire Alarm Inspector to join our experienced team. This role focuses on inspections, testing, and maintenance of life-safety systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations.

You will work from our Austin office and travel regionally as needed. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Fire Alarm servicing/inspection, strong technical skills with low voltage systems, and solid communication abilities.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years Fire Alarm servicing/inspection experience.
Active licensing and certifications per NFPA/State/local codes for Inspector.
Experience reading blueprints and submittals.
Experience with low voltage electrical systems.
Proficiency with MS Excel/Word and iPhone/iPad apps.
Willingness to travel locally and regionally; occasional overnight.
Strong customer service, organizational skills, and NFPA code knowledge.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and maintenance on Fire Alarm and life-safety systems.
Work with low voltage wiring and related devices.
Complete Service Acknowledgements via tablet.
Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via tablet.
Provide technical training to junior inspectors.
Complete assigned inspections on time.
