Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a field technician to test and inspect fire alarm systems for existing and new customers. You will document work, follow safety policies, and operate in varied positions, including climbing ladders and using high lift equipment.

A valid driver's license and ability to work shifts or weekends are required. Ideal candidates will have fire alarm installation/inspection experience, strong organization, excellent communication, and the ability to work with minimal

Qualifications

• Installation or Service Experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment.
• Self-starter that can work with little or no supervision
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly
• Capable of performing physical labor
• Excellent communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
• Ability to work well with others
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook along with Smartphone skills

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems with existing and new customer base.
• Maintain proper documentation for work performed using tools provided
• Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions; such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment
• Must be able to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs
• Must perform all duties in a safe and professional manner & maintain a clean and safe work area
• Must have a valid drivers license

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20-$25 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
