Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of inspector experience in fire detection/protection.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and IFC code requirements.
• NICET Level I certification.
• Able to read technical drawings/diagrams and follow specifications.
• OSHA safety standards; OSHA 10 certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with systems/service departments for testing and inspection.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Prepare inspection and deficiency reports per NFPA guidelines.
• Deliver and test work on schedule within approved budgets.
• Log and transmit inspection reports via technical devices.
• Oversee project inventory and vehicle inventory.

This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure our customers’ systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing projects. Customer and employee interface requires a high degree of effective human relations.
