Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to provide reliable on-site maintenance and inspections of fire and security systems. Starting pay is based on experience and includes a tool allowance, company vehicle, and cell phone benefits.

Responsibilities include performing inspections, testing devices, completing paperwork, and communicating with clients and the monitoring station. Travel to sites is required as needed, with ongoing training and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
• Must obtain required licenses/certifications per state regulations.
• High School Diploma or GED required for all Per Mar Security Services positions.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Strong mathematical skills including basic algebra and geometry.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe installation and operation of alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire protection inspections and preventive maintenance on client fire alarm systems.
• Test and verify system and device functionality according to manufacturer specs.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, coworkers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
• All other duties assigned by the Supervisor relevant to daily operations.

• Valid driver's license and be able to pass background checks and drug tests.
• Must be able to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the State in which the branch operates.
• High School Graduate or GED is required for all Per Mar Security Services positions.
• Must be able to travel, as needed.
• Must have mathematical skills including ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume along with ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Must have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper installation of alarm systems and devices.
• Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service and Accountability.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Perform fire protection inspections and preventative maintenance services on client fire alarm systems
• Test and verify that all systems and devices (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.) function properly and in accordance to manufacturer's specifications.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department on a daily basis.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
• All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Supervisor specific to the operation of daily business functions.
